Hampton Christian Academy encourages students to participate in community service and evangelism through volunteering with ministries, churches, and mission organizations. HCA is currently the only relay center in Hampton for Operation Christmas Child. This student-run ministry led by the Beta Club officers collects and packages hundreds of shoeboxes to send to needy children around the world. Every year since 1986, HCA has sent teams of high school students to New York School of Urban Ministry to participate in hands-on evangelism training for inner city ministry. HCA students have also raised thousands of dollars for countless Christian outreaches around the world and have traveled to foreign mission fields, including Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Czech Republic.
Kenya & Haiti
Each year, HCA lower school students look forward to raising money to help missionaries spread the gospel in Kenya and Haiti. HCA students have donated hundreds of dollars for the Building Bridges organization. This ministry provides access across chasms by building sturdy bridges for better travel in Haiti. HCA students have also raised money for school desks for the AIC Girls' Boarding School (African Inland Church) in Kajiado, Kenya. To the right, you can view a video from the girls in the boarding school, thanking HCA for its support. In this video, you will be able to see the donated desks.
